New GN1220 "smart cord" offers cost effective compliance without the need to upgrade headsets
BIRMINGHAM - GN, the world leader in innovative headset solutions, will launch its latest Noise at Work legislation compliant solution at this year's Call Centre Expo. The Jabra GN1220 universal 'smart cord' limits telephone sound levels, ensuring that users are not exposed to over 85db during an eight hour day, making it an ideal way for contact centres to be compliant with the law.
In addition to legislation compliance, the Jabra GN1220 universal 'smart cord' works with any Jabra corded headset equipped with 'quick disconnect' as well as the following features: . Interoperability with most desk phones, including IP hard phones . Microphone amplification when required . A standard straight 80cm cord (longer than most standard cords) . Eight separate wire connections, including three with built-in microphone amplification . Simple 8-position slide adjustment - ensuring easy installation and eliminating the need for a user manual
"The feedback we have received since last year's introduction of the Noise at Work legislation has shown that the law has proved difficult to interpret and almost impossible to measure in any office," said Vince O'Brien, sales director, GN." The Jabra GN1220 provides users with the reassurance that they won't be exposed to sound levels over 85db in an 8 hour day, at least while using the phone. This forms part of our commitment to ensure that our customers are using the right equipment, to keep them compliant with the legislation."
In addition to the Jabra GN1220 cord solution, GN offers a large portfolio of both corded and wireless headsets and amplifiers in order to provide the right solution to adhere to the Noise at Work legislation. The Jabra GN8210 is the most sophisticated amplifier on the market and bundled with one of GN's Jabra corded headsets it is compliant to the new Noise at Work legislation. If the Call Centre prefers wireless headsets GNs award winning Jabra GN9350 is the right product in terms of Noise at Work compliance as it has built in the functionality of the GN8210 amplifier.
